This thing called Real Estate

This thing called Real Estate... This career has been scary, intimidating, stressful, anxiety producing, hard on the pocketbook, complicated, rewarding, inspiring, educational and fulfilling all at the same time. I love my career and the opportunity to work with so many amazing people while they look for their next home, buy their first home, invest for the first time or sell for the first time. But I just am always honored when i'm allowed to be in the process and be able to serve my clients. Just a few thoughts that were on my mind today as I sit in my office waiting for my next appointment so wanted to share... This thing called Real Estate

Market is still HOT

Are you on the fence thinking about selling this year? The market is still performing very well , home prices are on the rise, inventory is low, average days on market are down and it's definitely a great time to take advantage of these favorable conditions. To find out your odds of selling call me directly Crystal Swearingen McGrew Real Estate 785-550-3424 #BuyingorsellingthechoiceisCrystalclear #SellingfromLawrencetoKC

I just want to say Thank You to all my wonderful clients/ friends who have been so patient with me as I've been dealing with my daughter's illness. Real Estate has been such a blessing to me as a career and even more now when I've had to be gone from the office and had the ability to keep deals together and make sure my clients are still being serviced. Spending days on end at the hospital is never fun but I knew I had a great team helping where I need it. I am truly thankful and blessed for your love and support. This may not be my best year in terms of sales but it's been my best year of learning what's important... surrounding myself with excellent clients and friends and building a business I can be proud of... Thank you

Why do some houses sell and others sit...

How things have changed...Last friday I showed up to show a new house that just came up on the market that morning and had to wait while 3 other agents finished their showing because of the traffic for this house. This is a 4 bedroom home nothing too extravagant but it has a basement and priced under $200,000. The demand for a house like this is extremely high looking on the mls there are 24 homes that fit that bill but what made this one house sell and get 6 offers in less than 24 hours? Viewing house after house over the past 8 years there are definitely somethings that houses that sell in under 30 days have that set them apart from the competition. Now I know that not every seller is in the position to make major updates to a home they are wanting to sell. They don't have the ability to move the house physically or even to change some of the condition but there are some things that just take some elbow grease and a small investment that can make your home stand out in this m...

A New Year a New Approach

It has been a while since I last posted on my blog and WOW how so many things have changed for me professionally and personally! Being in this business for 8 years there are so many things that I have been able to witness and be a part of and learn everyday. I got my license after a neighbor encouraged me to check out a career in real estate one lazy summer day when we were chatting at the pool. I knew about Real Estate, my mom had sold Real Estate for Century 21 when i was a kid and I remembered the gold jackets...she left there and did a stint as an appraiser both privately and for the city before me entering in high school when she got her license again and started selling for a boutique firm in Wichita. So i had some familiarity with the idea of selling real estate but thought that  there had to be a lot of math in that and that was definitely not my fortay! At that point in my life I had just given birth to my youngest Halle she was just a mere 3 months old when this conve...
